Accounts and saved words

You never need an account here. An account does one thing: it saves the words you mark as difficult on the levels page, so they follow you between devices. This page says what that stores and who handles it.

What is stored

Your Google sign-in and your flagged words

Snak Dansk Nu is run by its owner, who you can reach at tom.businfo@gmail.com. Sign-in is by Google only. When you sign in, the following is stored:

  • your email address;
  • your Google profile name and picture, which are stored but never shown on the site;
  • sign-in logs, including IP addresses;
  • the words you flag as difficult.

It is used only to provide the account you asked for, and it is kept until the account is deleted.

Who handles it

Supabase and Google

Supabase stores the account and the flags, on servers in the EU. Its parent company is in the US, so transfers are covered by Supabase's data processing agreement and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Google confirms who you are when you sign in.

Your rights

See it, take it, or delete it

You can ask for a copy of your data, for it in a portable form, or for your account to be deleted, which removes your flags with it. Vil du have din konto slettet? Skriv til tom.businfo@gmail.com. Every request is answered within one month.

You can also complain to Datatilsynet, the Danish data protection authority.

In your browser

No tracking, no consent banner

The site sets no tracking or analytics cookies. When you are signed in, your session is kept in your browser's localStorage. That is strictly necessary for staying signed in, so it needs no consent banner. Your progress in the app and your display settings are kept there too, on your device.

The feedback button is separate from accounts. It sends only what you type, an email if you choose to give one, the page you were on and what it was showing, your browser and your country.
