The first 100 adjectives in a list of 2,000 entries built from 7 cross-checked frequency sources — each one with its pronunciation and the two endings it takes when it has to agree with the noun in front of it.

Three forms, and you pick by what the adjective describes

The bare form goes with en-words — en stor bil, "a big car". That is the form in the second column, and it is the one to learn first.

Add -t for an et-word — et stort hus, "a big house". This is where the gender you learned with the noun starts earning its keep: the noun's en/et decides the shape of every adjective attached to it.

Add -e for anything plural, and after "the", "my" or a name — de store huse ("the big houses"), min store bil ("my big car"). One ending covers both jobs, which is why the last column carries both labels.

Comparatives work as in English, with -ere and -est (ny → nyere → nyest) and the same handful of irregulars (god → bedre → bedst). The app carries those forms for the words the dictionary documents them for; they are left off the table here rather than shown as a column of gaps.
